NEW YORK, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition of abstract paintings by a renowned Chinese woman artist has opened at New York Arts Center (NYAC) in Manhattan.
The exhibition, which opened on Sunday and will run until Nov. 1, features oil paintings of Bejing-based artist Luo Ruona, who is famous for her works of abstract expressionism but with a strong touch of traditional Chinese painting.
Also, at the opening ceremony, NYAC President Jingxiang Ou signed a sister-gallery agreement with Ma Ziying, representative of the Art Tree Gallery based in Guangzhou, capital of China's Guangdong province, in Manhattan Chinatown on Sunday.
The two galleries aim to work together to help further strengthen the exchanges of ideas and expertise between the U.S. and Chinese artists, according to Ou, who founded NYAC a year ago with the help of a group of local artists and entrepreneurs.
