SANAA, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said on Sunday they have launched a drone attack on military aircraft hangars at the Najran airport in the Saudi Arabian border city, the group's TV al-Masirah reported.
There were no comments yet from the Saudi-led coalition on Yemeni rebels' attack. Most of the rebels' attempted attacks were intercepted and foiled by Saudi air defence forces.
Last week, the Iran-allied Houthi rebels vowed to strike 300 vital military targets inside Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, saying such attacks would continue until the Saudi-led coalition stops its military operations inside Yemen.
The Saudi-led coalition has been intervening in the civil war in Yemen since early 2015 to support the exiled Yemeni government against the Houthi rebels who seized most of Yemen's north, including the capital Sanaa.
