WUHAN, May 18 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 World Fly-in Expo (WFE) featuring 560 aircrafts opened on Saturday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.
"The FAI (World Air Sports Federation) World Fly-in Expo is a grand event in the international aero-sports community. The first Expo was successfully held in Wuhan in 2017, while the 2019 WFE will be more diversified," said Chen Xiexin, Deputy Mayor of Wuhan, at the opening ceremony.
The WFE, which runs until Wednesday, is hosted by the World Air Sports Federation. The Expo features aerial flight performance, aerial sports events, static exhibition and conference forum.
The four-day event has attracted 560 aircrafts, with about 100 taking part in the exhibition, according to the organizers.
Wuhan is the permanent host of FAI World Fly-in Expo.
