PRAGUE, March 13 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition displaying the beauty of China's Mount Huangshan, also known as Yellow Mountain, was held here Wednesday to woo Czech tourists.
"Mount Huangshan has the name of 'Fairyland on earth' in China. We sincerely welcome Czech friends from all over the country to Mount Huangshan to enjoy the beautiful nature scenery and to understand more about Chinese history and culture," said Wang Kun, assistant president of Huangshan Tourism Development Co., Ltd at the event.
"Czech republic has attracted a lot of Chinese tourists in recent years. But it's not the case vice versa. With the pacing up of promotion efforts, I hope that some day there will be the same number of Czech tourists in China," said Michal Veber, Executive Director of Association of Czech Travel Agencies.
Statistics show that in 2018, a total of 620,000 Chinese tourists visited the Czech Republic.
Located in eastern China's Anhui Province, Mount Huangshan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for magnificent natural scenery which includes massive granitic boulders, old pine trees and the sea of clouds.
In recent years, Mount Huangshan has received an average of nearly 3 million visitors per year.
The Association of Travel Agencies of Anhui Province and the Association of Czech Travel Agencies also signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the tourism sector.
