CHENGDU, March 7 (Xinhua) -- The 8th Music Cities Convention, an international music industry conference, will be held from April 11 to 12 in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
It will be the first time for China to hold the event, according to the organizers.
Government officials and domestic and overseas delegates from cultural industries will attend the conference to discuss the development of the music industry and promote the value of music in urban planning.
Inaugurated in 2015, the Music Cities Convention has been held in Britain, the United States, Germany and Australia and has attracted more than 1,600 representatives from over 40 countries.
