JAKARTA, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and 5 others sustained injuries as landslide struck West Java province of western Indonesia, official said on Saturday.
Torrential rains led soils of a hill at Sukamakmur village of Bogor district to slide down and hit a house on Friday night, Agus Priyono, head of community police in the district, said.
"All the four corpses have been retrieved and buried on Saturday morning, while the five wounded have got medical treatment at the UMI Hospital in Bogor," he told Xinhua.
Indonesia has been frequently hit by landslide, flood and flash flood during heavy downpours. January and February are the peak of wet season in Indonesia.
