ATHENS, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- It was a rather easy afternoon for Panathinaikos BC as the Greek basketball team enjoyed the lead throughout the game, beating Bayern Munchen 77-67 here on Wednesday.
Greek forward Ioannis Papapetrou scored a personal high of 18 points at the Euroleague, and Nick Calathes who collected 13 points and 13 assists, managed a double double.
Bayern Munchen's Derrick Williams scored 21 points.
Panathinaikos now stand at the 8th place of the Euroleague regular season and will face Barcelona Lassa on Friday in Spain. Bayern Munchen are 9th in the standings and will host Armani Milan on Friday.
