SHAOXING, China, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Zhejiang Women's Volleyball Club coach Wang Hebing says they will try everything to limit VakifBank Istanbul's Zhu Ting during the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Shaoxing, China.
Turkey's VakifBank Istanbul will kick off their title defense against the host city's Zhejiang club at the Shaoxing Olympic Center when the 12th edition begins on Tuesday and runs until December 9.
"VakifBank is a top team in the world with Zhu, the best spiker nowadays. We have drawn up specific plans to limit her. No matter win or lose, we'll try our best," said Wang Hebing.
Chinese national team captain Zhu Ting is among the big names in this year's club world championship which also boasts Lonneke Sloetjes of VakifBank, Kim Yeon-Koung and Lauren Gibbemeyer of Eczacibasi, Gabriela Guimaraes and Natalia Pereira of Minas, Carli Lloyd and Rosamaria Montibeller of Praia Clube, Pleumjit Thinkaow and Wilavan Apinyapong of Supreme and Liu Yanhan of Zhejiang.
Eight teams were drawn into two groups as Zhejiang, VakifBank Istanbul, Brazil's Minas Tenis Clube and France's Volero Le Cannet are in Pool A, while Pool B contenders include Turkey's Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul, Kazakhstan's Altay Volleyball Club, Thailand's Supreme Chonburi and Brazil's Praia Clube.
