WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Supreme Court said Thursday that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been admitted to hospital after a fall that fractured three ribs.
The Supreme Court's public information office said the 85-year-old judge fell in her office on Wednesday evening, and went to hospital Thursday morning after experiencing discomfort overnight.
Tests showed that Ginsburg had fractured three ribs on her left side and is being treated at George Washington University Hospital.
Ginsburg, 85, was nominated by former U.S. President Bill Clinton and assumed office in 1993. Ginsburg is one of the more liberal justices on the Supreme Court bench.
