BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou Evergrande defeated Shandong Luneng 4-1 to extend their winning streak to three matches in the 20th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.
Guangzhou had a dream start. In the sixth minute, Brazilian midfielder Paulinho passed to Talisca, whose shot from distance broke the deadlock for the visiting team.
Talisca and Ricardo Goulart then gave Guangzhou a healthy 3-0 lead with two headers in the 42nd and 58th minutes respectively.
Shandong's Italian striker Graziano Pelle pulled a goal back for the home team in the 73rd minute, but Paulinho's strike just one minute later extinguished any hopes Shandong had of restoring parity.
Elsewhere in the CSL on Saturday, Shanghai SIPG beat Henan Jianye 2-1, Chongqing Lifan drew 1-1 with Dalian Yifang, and Beijing Guoan thrashed Tianjin TEDA 5-2.
