BEIRUT, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Caracalla Dance Theater, one of the most prominent professional dance theaters in the Arab world, delighted Byblos, the largest city in Mount Lebanon, on Friday with their latest music production Finiqia: The Legend Lives On.
The show was attended by high-level governmental and political figures.
The music show, which runs on Aug. 17-18 within Byblos International Festival, takes the audience on a journey from the depth of civilizations and into different eras of history.
Yvan Caracalla, director and creator of Caracalla dance productions, told Xinhua that the story takes the audiences to a typical Lebanese village where locals comply with customs and tradition.
"A forbidden love between two young hearts reveals an unexpected twist of fate, as the elders of the village attempt to solve a longstanding feud," he added.
Throughout the past 50 years, the Caracalla Dance Theatre production team has performed on many reputable stages and theatres worldwide, including the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts in Washington, the Carnegie Hall in New York, London's Sadler's Wells and the Theatre Champs-Elysees in Paris.
Caracalla has also performed "Sailing the Silk Road" in March 2018 at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing. In February 2016, they also performed in China a dance production known as "the Arabian Nights."
