BEIJING, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The 10th Straits Forum will be held in southeast China's Fujian Province in mid-June, said a spokesperson Wednesday.
"The forum, the first large-scale cross-Strait event since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, will focus on expanding people-to-people exchanges," said Ma Xiaoguang, spokesperson with the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, at a press conference.
Online application will be open this month to people from across the Taiwan Strait, who wish to attend the forum, Ma said.
Praising the event's constructive role in improving connections across the Strait, Ma said the forum was aimed at creating more diverse and inclusive exchange programs.
