BEIJING, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Beijing's cultural and creative industries continued to grow steadily with total revenue of 1.4 trillion yuan (215 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 11 months of 2017.
The figure indicates an annual growth of 9.4 percent, said Zhao Lei, Party chief of the State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration of Beijing municipal government Thursday.
Beijing plans to build 30 cultural and creative industries parks and has completed 21 of them by transforming old factories and wholesale markets.
The traditional publishing, music, and cinema sectors in the capital have been joined by emerging animation, online games and design in recent years.
Of the country's 58 listed cultural and creative companies, Beijing is home to 21, with a total market value of more than 300 billion yuan.
